Most of the big all-inclusives are here: the Hyatt Zilara, the Riu, Moon Palace, the Grand Fiesta Americana, and dozens more.
The airport sits just south of the city, and the Hotel Zone runs along Boulevard Kukulcán to the north. On a clear run, you're looking at 15–20 minutes in a private transfer. Add traffic, which can happen any time during peak season, and budget 30 minutes.

Cancún airport is one of the pushiest taxi-sales scenes in the Caribbean. The second you clear customs, you'll have people approaching with "official transfer" lanyards, fixed-price signs, and all manner of confidence-inspiring props. Some are legitimate; many are not.
Official airport taxis operate on a zone-based rate system. A taxi to the Hotel Zone typically costs $35–55 depending on which zone your hotel falls in. That sounds similar to a pre-booked private transfer, but airport taxis are cash only, the rate is fixed regardless of delays or missed flights, and there's no driver tracking, no customer service number if something goes wrong, and no free cancellation if your plans change.
Pre-booking via KiwiTaxi or GetTransfer gives you a named driver, a confirmed price, flight tracking so they wait even if you're late, and the ability to cancel for free if your trip changes. For the same money, it's a much better deal.
For the Hotel Zone route, the choice mostly comes down to group size:
1–3 passengers, standard luggage. Gets the job done. Best price.
1–4 passengers with more luggage. Comfortable for families. Often only a few dollars more.
5–8 passengers. The most popular option for groups. Much cheaper than booking two taxis.

Cancún has two main terminals: Terminal 2 (domestic + most US/Canada flights) and Terminal 3 (international). When you book, confirm which terminal your flight arrives into, your driver will meet you in the arrivals hall of the correct one.
After you clear customs and walk out into the arrivals hall, you'll hit a wall of noise. Guys with signs, tour operators, taxi booths. Walk past all of it. Your pre-booked driver will be holding a sign with your name on it, usually near the edge of the arrivals hall or just outside the automatic doors.
If you can't find your driver, use the contact number from your booking confirmation. Every reputable platform provides one. Don't accept "help" from anyone approaching you, only approach the official desks of the company you booked with.
Some people working the arrivals hall will claim to be your pre-booked driver. They're not. Your actual driver won't approach you, they'll stand in the designated meeting area holding your name. If someone comes to you, keep walking.
The Hotel Zone is one long boulevard, Kukulcán, and everything is on it or just off it. Your driver will know where your hotel is. You don't need to give directions; just confirm the property name when you book.
A few hotels sit on the lagoon side of Kukulcán rather than the beach side, so your room outlook may vary, but the transfer is the same. If your hotel is at the far north end (near the Punta Cancún area), your journey will be closer to 30 minutes. If you're at the southern end near the convention center, you'll be there in under 20.
